Shia Labeouf Motivated – Whatever it is, he tells you to follow your dreams and “do it”

Shia Labeouf Motivated is a great video in that it is both funny and enlightening

My husband showed me this one day when I was really stressed out about something. I don’t even remember what it was I was stewing over but I watched Shia Labeouf’s video on getting motivated, laughed hard and decided to “do it.” Now I watch this video over and over again when I need a little reminder.

Honestly, sometimes I watch it several times in one day. Other times I don’t watch it for weeks. But I always have it in my arsenal of great motivational items for when I embark upon something that is challenging or way out of my comfort zone. I hope you can use it too.

It does not matter who you are – Shia Labeouf will make you laugh while getting you motivated

At some point in your life, you are going to get stuck on something. It’s pretty normal to let fear paralyze us and sometimes we just need a push. I watch this video whenever I feel that way. For one thing, it is hilarious so it takes the edge off immediately. More importantly, it is true. We just need to get to that place when anyone else would quit, and then we need to “just do it.” I really love this and hope you love it too.  Please comment below and tell me what you think.

A few of my favorite lines from Shia on getting motivated

“You should get to the point where anyone else would quit, and you’re not going to stop there.”

“If you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up!”

Can Tarot Cards Really Help Your Business Insights?

When you start a business, you expect to prosper. Of course, there are the few hiccups that every newbie in the block experiences, but you hope that your new baby lifts themselves off the dust and shines, even if in a few years. It does not always happen, as we know from statistics that as many as 90 percent first timers fail! That number is astounding.

There are varied reasons why these failures happen, one of them being a mismatched business idea. They say to follow your passion and the money will follow, but what if your passion does not lead to success? What if you are unable to monetize it?

It could be you’re lacking inspiration and a proper path of insight. This is where an alternative route may be attractive – tarot cards.

How Can Tarot Help?

Tarot cards are insightful and wealthy in information about the future. As professional tarot reader Charmaine Frapp of Tell My Tarot says, “While tarot cards are not entirely predictive, they illuminate certain trains of thought that may not have been apparent.”

Other than the common reasons why start-ups fail (including lack of capital), this is the biggest impediment. The mind will either be your most valued asset in your new venture or be the reason for your failure. Most young people get into ventures believing that they are set to succeed as long as they have the capital to get the business off the ground. Capital is only a fraction of what it takes to get there. The truth is being nimble to business and market conditions, positioning your firm to adapt to the constant changes of our hyper-connected, digital world. Expectation setting is key, and this is where tarot can assist.

Tarot cards are barometers. Yes, the big things will happen someday, but you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. When reading well, they will give you insights on what is likely to be the outcome of an action, hence getting you prepared. Consider the mysticism of tarot as a different flashlight that helps brighten the path before you.

There are no rules in a tarot reading, but the least of the things you could do for yourself is be compassionate. On yourself, no less. This- compassion on self- is not something we are used to. We rip off the band-aid every time we need to confront something (which is not entirely wrong), but it does not hurt to take the time to console ourselves. This could be applied in a business where you do not beat yourself too hard when you get an unfavorable outcome, but rather look at it as a lesson for the future. Find the problem, discover the solution and fix it so it does not happen again. The learning process is a part of your success and discovery.

Charmaine tells us that the lessons from your tarot cards are invaluable. Every day could be the day you become a better person in your relationships and business. If you are careful and open minded, you can allow the tarot lessons to guide your business into the next stage. Who knows? If nothing else, it sounds kind of fun.

Top 10 Must-See Movies For Aspiring Entrepreneurs https://www.business-opportunities.biz/2016/09/20/top-10-must-see-movies-aspiring-entrepreneurs/ Wed, 21 Sep 2016 00:04:25 +0000 https://staging.lonely-lettuce.flywheelsites.com/?p=178043 Just last month I was contacted by a young man named Chris who said he had discovered www.BusinessOpportunities.biz, back in 2014 while he was 17 and still in high school. He said he started his own app development business and had grossed more than $4MM as of August 2016. He wanted to say thank you for the wisdom in our blog pages.

Today very young people like Chris are becoming millionaires at an astounding rate. Students today are bright, sophisticated and technologically savvy. Thinking about all these young entrepreneurs inspired us to put together a list of the Top 10 Business Movies that every young person should. Here it is:

Today very young people like Chris are becoming millionaires at an astounding rate. Students today are bright, sophisticated and technologically savvy. They use offers from websites like pay for essay to get their homework done, so they can get busy writing code, creating apps or developing entire websites and creating their own livelihood.

Thinking about all these young entrepreneurs inspired us to put together a list of the Top 10 Business Movies that every young person should. Here it is:

  1. “The Aviator” by Martin Scorsese, 2004

This is a biographic movie about Howard Hughes, inventor in the field of aviation and founder of one of the largest corporations in the world. Howard Hughes was a visionary and a genius and was not afraid to go after the things he wanted. You will find his ability to keep pressing forward an inspiration for sure.

  1. “Jerry Maguire” by Cameron Crowe, 1996

What a great film! As a sport agent, Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) finds himself forced to go out on his own – taking with him just one client. At first it seems an impossible task and that failure is certain. Then things begin to turn around and he ends up a wonderful success in life, love and business. It is a really great movie.

  1. “Casino” by Martin Scorsese, 1995

Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro gave us a classic film about money, mafia and a look into the darker side of business. This film teaches that there are consequences to everything we do – both in life and in business.

  1. “Boiler Room” by Ben Younger, 2000

This story is an ongoing moral puzzle inside the mind of one man seeking a good life. It shows us that we should be careful what we wish for. We think if we have a better job or a better car we will be happier. In reality, better things can bring more questions, mess and challenges too.

  1. “Pirates Of Silicon Valley” by Frank Fitzpatrick, 1999

This film portrays the early lives of the greatest digital brains of all time, Steven “Steve” Jobs and William “Bill” Gates. It may be difficult to imagine these men as young, every day college students but this movie will bring it all to life. This movie will teach how to make your way from amateur scientist to well-known genius.

Remember, if you are a busy person or still in school and you are struggling to get it all done and start a business, CLICK HERE to discover a great site to help you get some of your work done – better and faster.

  1. “Citizen Kane” by Orson Welles, 1941

More than a turning point in cinema, this film is an enduring classic. It is an entire look at human principles, regrets and happiness. It is a must see for you aspiring entrepreneurs out there.

  1. “Wall Street” by Oliver Stone, 2000

This movie is a wild ride for sure and should not be seen by the faint of heart. It is filled with greed, humor, drugs, fast cars, scantily clad women and outrageous amounts of everything – but it is extremely entertaining and so made it #4 on our top 10 list of movies to see for entrepreneurs.

  1. “There Will Be Blood” by Paul Thomas Anderson, 2007

The lead character in this film is a man with dollar signs in his eyes. He is on a blind quest to be rich and uses whatever cruel methods available to him to do so. This is a movie where money is definitely thicker than blood – which in my opinion is a shame.

  1. “The Social Network” by David Fincher, 2010

This film is about how the revolutionary website “Facebook” was developed. It’s the story of how Mark Zuckerberg got his start, created his website and became a terrible human being to his friends and business associates. While he does end up paying for it a bit, in the end, he still becomes a huge success and you probably know the rest of the story.

  1. The Wolf of Wall Street” by Martin Scorsese, 2013

What do you need to succeed? You need to be tough, ruthless and really love money. This movie is on the racy side but nevertheless it is extremely entertaining and a must see for aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s a story of two men who discover a way to make tremendous amounts of money and quick. Together they use greedy tactics to become one of the most brutal forces the business world has ever seen. While you probably won’t want your children to grow up and be these guys, the lives they lead are extravagant and wild and the movie definitely has its entertaining and inspirational moments.

Share this with your significant other, boss or mom, and show them that your desk really isn’t that bad.

Why does he keep a aquarium full of mud on his desk?

Is that a cat?

Desk, check. Computer, check. Printer, check. Chair, check. Chair seat, umm?

He does all of his business by telephone, paper and VHS tape.

For all his bad habits, including looking at other people’s filthy desks on the internet, he still tries to eat healthy yogurt.

I think he lost his chair under there. Oh yes, there it is, next to the sink.

Look at the size of that computer compared to the monitor!

The purple octopus puppet really completes the scene.

Steve had a sinking suspicion that someone else was using his computer while he was asleep. He didn’t have many clues, just five Sprite cans.

Obviously a student of serious art; note the Mona Lisa.

I give this one three stars for the backlighting effect.

Umm, that pillow?

Yes, he drinks a lot of beer. Yes, he’s a slob. But his taste in lamps is magnificent.

He likes to stay properly hydrated.

His mouse doesn’t match his keyboard.

His clean desk looks a little out of place, don’t you think?

Was there an earthquake?

All things considered, this one isn’t very bad. But you should never leave the two top drawers of a filing cabinet open, you risk it falling over and creating a mess like in the previous picture.

His rolling chair doesn’t get to roll much.

What’s in that plastic bag under his bed?

Three coffee cups and a banana peel?! What kind of madness is this?

Is that a cowboy hat, or a half crushed milk jug on a plate? I can’t tell.

I count at least five calculators.

What, you’ve never seen so many model airplanes in one room?

I wonder what’s locked behind that padlock?

Lame. Who uses “White Out” anymore?

Is that a third dog behind the chair?

She loves her dogs.

I thought that computers were supposed to reduce our dependence on paper.

In black and white, it’s almost artistic.

What is this, a dungeon?

There’s history in this room. And a typewriter.

More paper.

Ah how sweet. Someone sent her flowers. They should have sent a cleaning crew.

He still takes time to work out with his kettlebell.

Yep, I was right. This is another view of number three: the chair without a seat.

At least she knows where to find her lotions.

Is that a baked potato?

This picture is so rich. The monitor has been reduced from 19″ to 15″ by sticky notes. The motivational picture on the desk says: “Perfection.” There are at least two different pizza boxes from two different restaurants, and the April 12, 2010 issue of Time magazine with Steve Jobs on the cover is on the desk.

Who keeps ketchup next to their computer?

If you’re unorganized, just follow this handy chart.

Seattle Post Intelligencer (blog):

There is a new invention for the stressed out or angry individual: the Screamotron 3000. The device is a renovated karaoke boombox that snaps a picture when it hears you scream.

Billy Hunt, a commercial photographer and the inventor of the unusual device says it’s a therapeutic way to tap into the amygdala, the part of the brain that processes emotions and memories.

“Some people scream inward and some people scream outward … and some people go to crazy town,” Hunt told NPR. “I find it interesting how human emotion plays out.”

Screaming is considered therapeutic in some scientific circles. For example, Psychology Today reported on Dr. Arthur Janov’s primal therapy that claimed screaming and sobbing can release suppressed hurt from childhood and eliminate mental illness.

Also, humorous inventions have been dedicated to therapeutic screaming, such as ScreamBody, a backpack looking device that “silences the user’s screams so they may feel free to vocalize without fear of environmental retaliation,” at work or in public areas.

According to a story in Forbes, after a few long nights at the bar in 2001, Jeffrey Goldblatt decided he was tired of overhearing trashy pickup lines and withering put-downs. He teetered home and set up Rejection Hotline–a phone number women could dish out to their pursuers, leading them to this voice mail: “Hello, the person who gave you this number obviously did not want you to have a real number. Maybe you’re not this person’s type; note this could mean that you are short, fat, ugly, dumb, annoying, arrogant or just a general loser.”

The hotline, claims Goldblatt, fetched 600,000 callers in its first year, inspiring him to turn his Don Rickles prank into a business. The Atlanta company, now RH Brands, has morphed into a YouTube of sorts for the phone, offering 100-plus hotlines to inform callers, say, that their friendships have been outsourced to India or that their body odor is horrific.

Remarkably, there’s money to be made in this. Companies such as Sony Pictures, Blockbuster and Dish Network pay for audio ads that are played following the call, if the victim hasn’t already hung up. Other businesses like SendMe Mobile and Thumbplay send mobile text offers for ringtones and videogames. All this produced $2.5 million in revenue last year, up from $841,000 in 2008. Goldblatt claims the service got 69 million calls last year, fed by social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.
